Bojan Hočevar, BSc (Civil Engineering)

After graduating and receiving his BSc in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Civil and geodetic Engineering in Ljubljana in 1982, he worked for the SCT company, in the field of civil engineering constructions. Until 1987 he was the responsible works manger at construction sites in Iraq (airport/military base), Libya (Nauma Airport) and Slovenia (Ljubljana – Jesenice motorway and various sections of national roads).

In 1987, he was appointed the head of the construction department in the Cestno podjetje Ljubljana company. Two years later he took over the management of the commercial sector and held that position for 22 years. At that time he also acted as the chief executive director. In that period the Cestno podjetje Ljubljana company, which was established for the purpose of maintaining and preserving roads, developed into an important contractor for new constructions of national roads, motorways, railways and other infrastructure in Slovenia.

He had an important role in the introduction, organization and practical application of recycling as an alternative method for rehabilitation and maintenance of roads and motorways in Slovenia.
